Japanese Propaganda Pre-WWII
The Japanese fabricated Nation of Manchuguo Being the flag on the left, The Originial Flag of the ROC on the right (a bit ugly if you ask me.) and Japan in the middle.
The caption says (Right to left): “With the cooperation of Japan, China, and Manchuguo, the world can be in peace.”
This was propaganda which served as a Japanese “Manifest Destiny” That is, they were “meant” to lead Asia, and “protect” them from Western Aggressors. I’m personally interested in Manchuguo, It’s origin and short history make propaganda like this priceless to history nerds.
Kind of a neat shot, the rest of the hotel was painted like a Twister board, but this just looked more gritty and real than the real thing which looked… God what the hell is wrong with people.
A Photo I took of Woodburn Hall on West Virginia University Main campus, the colors are a bit funky, first experience I had with any photo editing. probably tone down the blues a bit..
